Rick is an Owner | CEO of C-II-M Productions a full service global music management production company based in San Antonio (Texas). Rick Marino is a Music Manager, Musician, an avid cyclist, endurance junkie and much more.

 

For over 25 plus years playing drums since age 13 Rick grew up just outside of the greater 'Los Angeles Area' where he played in several original bands which included several studio recordings and tours as well as doing a lot of studio session work. In the 'studio' is where Rick learned the art of music and that music is a business as well.

 

Early in his career learning the art of the recording studio from mentors in the industry from engineers to musician greats such as the Toto gents Jeff Porcaro and Steve Lukather. While being away from the drumkit he saw other opportunities within music and not being another one-trick-pony. Whether it's engineering, producing, songwriting, studio session work, playing out live or his secret love lesser known passion singing. In the studio Rick has enjoyed and learned all different aspects of music in & out of the studio from some good friends who are successful musicians themselves.

 

Thanks to his good friends and drum mentors Mark Zonder (ex- Fates Warning, Warlord, Slavior) and "JMac" John Macaluso (Ark, Symphony X, TNT, James LaBrie, Riot, Union Radio, Yngwie Malmsteen) with whom he has leaned on over the years. A few Metal & Rock albums that made a big impact and influence on his drumming was "Perfect Symmetry" by Fates Warning, "Burn The Sun" by Ark mixed in with a lot of Jazz, Fusion, Funk & Motown influences incorporated into his Metal & Rock playing.
